USED EQUIPMENT - FAQ

Warranty

  • Every reconditioned machine comes with a 90 day parts and labor warranty.

Shipping and Delivery

  • Direct Fitness Solutions’ local delivery area includes Chicago and the surrounding areas.
  • All DFS customers will receive tracking and contact information within 24-hours of their item(s) being shipped so delivery schedules can be coordinated.
  • Customers should be aware that all shipments are curbside with lift gate only.
    Picking up at local freight terminal does not result in a lesser delivery charge.
  • Inside delivery by freight carrier is NOT available through all terminals.
  • DFS customers are encouraged to inquire if they wish to coordinate with shipping company directly prior to drop off.
  • Unless noted as “new” most items are shipped from DFS fully assembled, wrapped in cardboard, strapped to wood pallets and wrapped again in plastic stretch wrap.
  • Freight costs include the packaging fee and is determined by the volume of the shipment.
  • Freight with obvious damage to the product should be refused and not accepted. Keep in mind, some items are no longer in production and parts may no longer be available to replace.
  • Customers are welcome to facilitate and supply their own carrier services but handling and packaging fees will be assessed and charged to customer prior to release of items.
  • Items that are delivered by DFS are brought into the home fully assembled unless logistics dictate otherwise.
  • Delivery dates are scheduled weekdays based on mutual availability and convenience.

Taxes

  • All customers picking up or receiving items purchased from DFS in Illinois are subject to local sales tax of 8%.
  • All Wisconsin residents purchasing and receiving items from DFS are subject to local Wisconsin sales tax of 5.6%.
  • All Indiana residents purchasing from DFS are subject to local Indiana sales tax rate of 7%.
  • All Michigan residents purchasing from DFS are subject to local Michigan sales tax rate of 6%.

Lead Time

  • All used items will ship, deliver, or be ready for pick up within 2-3 weeks of payment confirmation.
  • Extended lead time on used items stored out of carton is needed to complete the reconditioning process, quality inspection, internal and external cleaning process prior to pick up or shipping.
  • All new items will ship within 5-7 business days of payment confirmation.

Pick Ups

  • Items should not be picked up until customer has received prior notification, either by phone or e-mail that the item is ready.
  • All customer pick ups must be pre-scheduled between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
